FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO GET STARTED
STEP 1: SET UP THE APP
The StrikeTec App is currently available for Android 4.1 and higher. You can download the app for free from the Google Play Store. After installing the app, you need to set up a free account. You can get started for free, even if you don’t have sensors… however, the instructions below assume you have purchased and received them.
SIGN UP W/ FACEBOOK FOR PROFILE PHOTO
All StrikeTec members are given a public profile. If you would like to have a profile photo, you need to create your account using your Facebook login.
CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT
Whether you have sensors or not, you need to start by creating a free account and profile. We recommend signing up via Facebook so we can import your profile photo, but you can also sign up with email. When you set up your sensors, they will be registered to this account.
We need to know a few basics to get started. Getting your accurate height, weight, and skill level are very important for calculating and scoring your punches correctly. Make sure to keep this info up to date in your account.
SET UP SENSORS NOW?
After creating your free account and signing in, you are asked if you want to set up your sensors immediately. If so, charge them first. You can always explore the app while they are charging. The setup tuturial is available any time from the Sensors page, found under the Account section on the menu.
STEP 2: SENSOR BASICS & SETUP
Sensors flash red when they are actively charging in the case. The red only shows when they are plugged in via the usb cord, not when the battery is low.
When each sensor is fully charged, it will switch from flashing red to a steady glowing red. But only when they are in the case, plugged in via the usb cord.
ON & NOT CONNECTED
When a sensor is turned on, but not connected to the app, it will blink green. This indicates it is waiting to connect to the app via Bluetooth.
CONNECTED & READY
After the app detects each sensors and connects via Bluetooth, it will start blinking blue. This indicates it is ready to use during training.
TURNING SENSORS ON
Each sensor has 1 blue power button. To turn a sensor on, hold down the power button for 4 seconds. You may need to press hard. When it is on, it will start blinking green.
TURNING SENSORS OFF
Make sure you turn both sensors off when you are done using them. To turn each sensor off, press the blue power button 3 times, within 2 seconds … click click click. When it turns off, it will blink rapidly 6 times, then stop. If they don’t turn off, try pressing down more firmly, and clicking faster.
CHARGE SENSORS FIRST
Place the sensors into the charging case and ensure that the micro USB cable is properly plugged in and connected. You can charge via an outlet with a cell phone adapter or via laptop/desktop. We suggest fully charging both sensors (45-60 min) before connecting for the first time.
RESET IF NEEDED
Sensors are protected from power surges. If there are any sudden voltage changes the sensors will shut off to preserve their components. You must reset the sensor in order to power the sensor back on. To reset them, put both sensors in the charger case, close the lid, and firmly press the blue button on the bottom of the case.
SENSOR SETUP TUTORIAL
The sensor setup tutorial is available whenever you are ready. We have made it super easy to get set up, by walking you through each step. It is available from the Sensor page, under the Account section on the main menu.
STEP 3: POSITIONING ON YOUR WRISTS
Sensors should sit on your wrists similar to a watch. You should always use high quality boxing hand wraps underneath your boxing gloves. The sensors can be positioned inside the wraps. Make sure the sensors is correctly positioned, with the logo facing you, and firmly secured before putting your gloves on.
STEP 4: EXPLORE AND START TRAINING
Where should you start? Its up to you. All features are visible & available from the main menu. If you are a beginner, we suggest you watch the Essentials Video Series first. If you want to jump right into training, start with either Combos or Rounds. Remember, the videos section has guidance for all types of training. You can sit back and watch a few first, or watch & train at the same time.
